The Need
Palm Beach County has one of the largest older adult populations in the state, with more than 1 in 4 residents aged 65 and older. As this number grows each year, so does the demand for supportive services that help seniors remain independent and connected.
Over fifty percent of the seniors we serve live alone. Escalating living expenses, a lack of affordable assisted living facilities and a large population of aging seniors without family or support in Palm Beach County contribute to the growing need for our support.
Our Services
Our organization provides companionship, help and solace to the aging. We collaborate with other agencies and do not duplicate services. To assist with the physical and mental health of our participants, volunteers provide the following programs:
- Transportation to medical appointments, shopping and places of worship
- Social visits in the home or via regular phone calls
- Respite Companionship
- Grocery Buddies Food Program
- Patient advocacy
- We currently serve the following zip codes in Wellington and Royal Palm Beach: 33411, 33414, 33449, and 33490.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are committed to coordinating volunteers of all ages to assist enabling persons 65 and over to remain in their home with the support of residents and local organizations.
