Our History
Our Community Cares, formerly Wellington Cares, was founded in 2010 by Kathy Foster, founding mayor of the Village of Wellington. She became acutely aware that resources were lacking to enable seniors to stay in their homes as they age, especially when experiencing minor health-related setbacks. The organization began serving persons 65 and over in the Village of Wellington and expanded in 2020 to assist residents 65+ in Royal Palm Beach. Since inception, the organization has provided more than $1 MILLION DOLLARS in free support.
